Spool-type valves are available in 2-way 2-position, 3-way 2-position, 4-way 2-position, and 4-way 3 position configurations. When the solenoid coil is energized, magnetic force overcomes the spring and shifts the spool.
Four-way, two-position spool type solenoid valves are for directional control of cylinders. Used in combination to duplicate four-way, three-position valve functions
